Course Instructor(s)

  • Jennifer Pereira, LPC-S, RD, LD, IEDS

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered/Licensed Dietitian. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Nutrition Counseling, and obtained her Master's in Professional Counseling. She has been working with people with disordered eating since 2005 at many levels of care. In 2006, she was fortunate enough to work alongside Jessica Setnick in her practice in Dallas. The following year, she opened her own practice, Nutrition Paradox. During this time, she was devastated by how many of her clients could not get access to higher levels of treatment because of insurance or out-of-pocket costs. In 2012, she felt compelled to open Project Bliss, a non-profit home for the treatment of eating disorders. Project Bliss provided full and partial scholarships for many clients who otherwise would not have been able to access residential treatment. Sadly, she had to close Project Bliss in 2015 due to inadequate funding. In 2015, her family moved to Austin, where she continued her outpatient private practice. In 2020, due to the high demand for eating disorder treatment, she grew into a group practice of a mix of counselors and dietitians to help meet the growing needs of the Austin community.

  • Veronica Rocha, LPC-S, IEDS

Veronica has been a therapist for 15 years, and her experience spans trauma, eating disorders, body image, and compulsive exercise. Veronica serves as a mentor, supervisor, educator, and leader in her communities.

Veronica is the founder, owner, and Executive Director for Austin Center for Eating Disorders, has served as President, Vice President, and Past President for an educational non-profit organization, Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists, and is the co-founder for Inclusive Eating Disorder Education. Further, Veronica is a multi-certified, weight inclusive fitness trainer, and spent years rehabilitating compulsive exercise in eating disorders in her private, mirror-free studio in Austin.

Veronica is committed to her continuing education, both professionally and personally. She deeply respects those battling to recover from eating disorders and trauma, and she is ambitious and dedicated in creating heart-centered spaces where healing, creativity, education, and empowerment can happen.
